Safety and Setup checklists

Before you swing a hammer, check your setup.
Safe, prepared workers get more done and stay in the trade longer.
These checklists help you start each shift right.

Daily Jobsite Setup Checklist

  • PPE ON: safety glasses, gloves, work boots, hi-vis vest
  • Toolbelt stocked and adjusted
  • Batteries charged and spares packed
  • Extension cords taped down or safely routed
  • Materials measured and stacked properly
  • Work area clear of debris and tripping hazards
  • Ladder and scaffold inspection complete
  • Emergency exits and first aid kit identified

Tool Check Before Work Starts

  • All cutting tools sharp and safe to use
  • Power tools free of damage or frayed wires
  • Drill bits and blades secured tightly
  • Tool batteries locked into place
  • Chisels and sharp tools sheathed during transport
  • Toolbox or belt locked or secure at end of shift
